WHAT IS SALVATION?
Salvation is the most important decision anyone can make, and at The Star Church, we are overjoyed that you have chosen to follow Jesus. By accepting Christ, you have entered a personal relationship with God, beginning a life changed by His grace and love. This moment marks the start of an incredible journey of faith, purpose, and hope. At The Star Church, we are committed to walking with you as you grow, helping you know Christ deeply and live out your faith boldly. You are now part of a family that prays for you, supports you, and celebrates every step of your spiritual journey.

What Are We Saved From?
Salvation refers to our deliverance from the consequence of sin and therefore involves the removal of sin. (Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:9).
Who Does The Saving?
Only Jesus Christ can remove sin and deliver us from sin’s penalty (2 Timothy 1:9; Titus 3:5).
How Does God Save?
In the Christian doctrine of salvation, God has rescued us through Christ (John 3:17). Specifically, it was Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection that achieved our salvation (Romans 5:10; Ephesians 1:7).
How Do We Receive Salvation?
We are saved by faith. First, we must hear the gospel – the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection (Ephesians 1:13). Then, we must believe – fully trust the Lord Jesus (Romans 1:16).
The Bible declares that if we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, then we would be saved. It is a promise and covenant between God and His people.
Did you know that Jesus Christ died on the Cross at Calvary so that you and I might have eternal life? Have you opened up your mouth and declared that Jesus is Lord? Do you believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord?
“…If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame”
(Romans 10:9 – 11, NIV).
If you accepted Christ today we’d love to celebrate with you. Please click HERE to receive some more information to help you on your journey.
WHAT IS BAPTISM?
When Christians are baptized, they fulfill the command of Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20), are submerged in water to identify with the death of Jesus, and rise out of the water to identify with His resurrection.
Romans 6:1-10; Colossians 2:12; 2 Corinthians 5:17
This identification with the death burial and resurrection through baptism testifies to the fact that we believe, by faith, that Jesus dies for our sins, was buried, rose three days later, and now is alive and Lord over all of creation.

Baptism Schedule
We will periodically schedule baptisms throughout the year. If you would like to be added to our next baptism, please fill out the form below:
Who Should Be Baptized?
If you’ve made a commitment to Jesus, we encourage you to follow Jesus’ command to be baptized as a public profession of your faith in Him. If you haven’t made a commitment to Jesus, we encourage you to learn more about Salvation HERE. Then after confessing your faith, we invite you to be baptized to make a public confession of your faith. It’s a declaration that the old has gone and the new is here (2 Corinthians 5:17).
